This petition is for every student currently trying their hardest to become a teacher and to highlight how unfair we are being treated, with little to no regard for our well being or personal circumstances; commuters, people with no school placements and those of us dealing with personal issues have been disregarded. We have been saddled with huge amounts of essays, exams and tutorials on top of already busy working schedules for our placement and we've had enough. Something has to give.

TCD, I'm sure, have been doing their best in what is undoubtedly an extremely stressful time but surely, they can see this system is broken and students' voices and well being are being ignored. This petition is not here to challenge or undermine Trinity's authority but rather, ask them for change and make our voices heard!

This petition is to bring the amount of stress and pressure we are under to Trinity College Dublin's attention by showing a united front of PME students, all of whom are dedicated to their future careers as teachers and want to achieve the best they can. Please show your support for us!

All we want is for the assignments and work to be spread out evenly through our second semester, beyond our placement to give us a chance to do our teaching and college work to an acceptable standard rather than trying to do it all at once. We simply ask that the Admin move the majority of assignments from February and spread them evenly across March, April and May. This is not an unreasonable request and if people support it, we can achieve it!
