To keep it short and sweet, both of my parents would benefit from this.

I have Chron's disease, this would allow me to use marijuana to help my many symptoms without all the pills. The pills make me sick and tired all the time. When I have to take pain pills I just can't function so because I am a single mom I have to just hurt. I don't get to do any fun things with my children because of my disease. if I were able to smoke I know I would feel better and be able to enjoy life again.

As my Dercum's Disease progresses, the pain grows more severe. I refuse to take the opiods because they have been proven addictive, & they will kill you. There are days when all I do is stay on a heating pad to try and get relief.

To legalize medical marijuana would help so many people with illnesses, like Chrones , Cancer, etc. Id rather have a natural way to help with my pain & sick stomach from Chrones Disease. Plus it will bring in monies for our State.

i was injured in a work accident in 1999. I ended up with a neck fusion at C5-6. I had to change my career after dental assisting for 15 years d/t inability to sit for any period of time. I went bavk to school and became an RN while I worked as a CNA. After almost 10 yrs of working hard my back surgery failed. I was taken out of work and referred to pain management at that time. I was maxed out on pain medication, muscle relaxers, and xanax. My pain doctor referred me for medical marijuana when I told her I wanted to decrease my medications. I hadnt smoked pot in years. But it worked I completely quit talking xanax and was able to sleep. The muscles in my back and neck even seemed to be more relaxed. Then we had to relocate for my husband to work. Now I have both en forced back on medication again because in order to get the pain meds that I truely need I have to drug test every month. It just helped me feel so much better and is a shame its not legal everwhere. Now my husband an I are looking at leaving Alabama due to this issue.

For someone who geta unbearable migranes, medicine doesnt cut it. most of the medicine i have taken only takes the edge away. i still feel weak, and draggy. i lose my vision when i get migranes and the medicine i was prescribed really only gives me my vision back. my head will still hurt and my body will hurt and ill get sick. medical marijuana is not only benifital for me, but for the other 100s of people thay have the same problem as i do. and if this could help me, with my migranes, imagine the people with bipolar or brain problems. people with cancer. we could help people not be in pain. save lives. We Could SAVE LIVES.

My husband has an eye condition, and I suffer from dystonia. It's not fair that citizens in some states cannot access appropriate medical care because of backward thinking.

After being diagnosed with terminal cancer (which I miraculously survived) I became addicted to the strong pain meds had been prescribed. When i was reported to be drug free i no longer wanted to be trapped in my addiction so i used Cannabis to ease my pain plus to almost completely relieve the dependency on "opoids". I can only attest to my experience, but i am a firm believer if it wasnt for Cannabis i would still be an addict.s

I currently live with paraplegia due to an auto accident I was in 7 years ago at 18. I am currently planning to move to Colorado, so I can have access to Medical Marijuana. By passing a law in Alabama giving me the same or near same acces I would be relocating to your state, and participating in your state's legal and tax system. You are denying viable reliable treatment for my spasms, pain, digestive, urinary, and insomnia issues for someone like me. I am plagued with these daily problems or forced to take synthetic medications with a host of deadly side effects or inability to function properly. Please give me a refuge close to my home, so I do not have to move across the country for medicine I could grow in my backyard.

my husband started having seizures 15 years ago. the medication for this is shortening his life , giving him osteo arthritis horrible mood swings and over growth of the gums. this horrible medication which is made from the gas if arsenic also will cause grandmaul seizures if he misses a dose.. although with proper doseage of marijuana consentrate and weaning one milligram at a time of the bad medicine he can gradually get of what is poisoning him and shortening his life. consentrated marijuana extract should be available to all who suffer seizures NOT JUST CHILDREN!!!! For it to be available for children only is most obsurd! politicians hear this.. your pockets will get much fatter by legalizing , i know your hearts are already black and money is all that matters to u. If that is what it takes for u to see it a good thing for all on this earth, then so damn be it already!!!!! may god have mercy on your lost souls!

Both my son and my husband would benefit from this bill. My son suffers from PTSD and my husband has depression and anxiety. He would be able to go off his chemical medication which would benefit his health.
To keep it short and sweet, both of my parents would benefit from this.
