Both of my children have seizures! They are on 5 medications each! I would much rather give them something natural instead of man made chemicals!

We need an alternative method of helping those with debilitating illnesses that does not involve long term use of harmful medicine like pain killers and anti depressants. I fully support this bill.

My niece who is 13 suffers from severe autism, non verbal. She is self injuring and has frequent daily melt downs. She has no access to treatment with medical marihuana in our state. Please help push this bill through. The more awareness, the more support, the more support the better chance of success!

Im supporting medical marijuana to use to help manage my pain from diabetic neuropathy. I am unable to take the Neurotin capsule medication that was prescribed to me due to the extreme suicidal and crazy thoughts it gives me. Both of my knee caps have dislocated repeatedly over the years and leave me in pain often. Marijuana could help both of these problems. Many people in this state have ailments that marijuana could help. Please do not deny taxpayers thier medication. I say medication due to the United States government mm patent on marijuana. Patent no.6630507.

Comments: I have been living with Ehlers-Danlos, a connective tissue disorder. Under that umbrella, I not only battle chronic pain, easily dislocated joints, and hypotrophic muscles, I endure co-morbidities including severe depression, anxiety, fatigue, insomnia, irritable bowel syndrome, psoriasis, hair loss, degenerative disc disease, arthritis, spinal stenosis, and sciatica. My sister also suffered from several of these issues. She died in December, leaving two young daughters. She was taking over 25 pills a day, all legally prescribed. I am 33 years old and have a beautiful son. He also has Ehlers Danlos. Currently, I swallow up to 18 pills each day. Please - I need the chance to rescue my health from a limiting system. I want the opportunity to return to college again, this time to study genetics. I wish to help my son and others fighting CTDs. The passage of this bill will allow me to safely recover much of my vitality. Please, show us that Freedom is very much alive in Alabama.

I had a head-on car accident back in 1995 which left me with seizures from a brain injury that is too deep for prescription medication to regulate. I also have had to have two knee surgeries on my left knee (doctors say I was too young for a knee replacement) and a back surgery on my L5-S1 receiving 4 screws and 2 rods. Four months after my back surgery, I fell, pushing my vertebrae out and causing multiple muscle spasms so severe, I am on multiple pain medications and muscle relaxers. They do not provide adequate relief, making it difficult to even have a normal sleep schedule. I rarely leave my home, and when I do it is only for doctors appointments. I also have severe neuropathy from having diabetes, along with having IBS. After my back surgery, I now have severe constipation. My liver has shown deterioration in the past due to prescription medications, even to the point where doctors told me I did not have hepatitis C but my liver looked like it did. I am in my early forties and want to live as long as I am able, hopefully with my pain relieved enough to enjoy living. Medical marijuana is less harmful for my body and would relieve multiple symptoms. This bill needs to be passed, not just for me but for many Alabama residents that need this type of treatment.
