I just wrote to my friend, the Reverend Cindy Bourgeois, Canda's first transgendered United Church of Canada Minister, that I compared the separateness of care to the separateness of cultural schools. They don't work. They may propagate the cultural values but they still keep the children of the culture thinking that they are separate hence apart. Really, it's isolating. And to me, it just seems problematic. And, as I said to my dear friend Reverend Bourgeois, I think it's very uninspiring.
I like the idea of a child thinking that they are included not separate.
