Support a New Cell tower at North Hagerstown High School
A tower developer, Milestone Communications, is proposing to build a new cell tower at North Hagerstown High School. This tower will utilize the latest camouflaging techniques ("stealth") and will look like a tall sign at the high school. If approved by the Washington County Public Schools Board, this tower will generate significant recurring lease revenue to help offset County School expenses. This tower will also significantly improve the in-building coverage of traditional wireless carriers (e.g., Sprint, Verizon, etc.) in the northern part of our City, inclusive of emergency 911 service. A photo simulation of this proposed 115 foot Marquee stealth tower is included in the adjacent picture. While we do not foresee any challenges with obtaining City permitting approval, we really need your help to obtain County School Board approval for the required cell tower lease between Milestone Communications and the County School Board. Please consider signing this online petition.
And, if you want to help even more, please also consider sending one email to the County School Board and Superintendent at this address: boe@wcps.k12.md.us
