My father was a shot firer at the pit he died when he was 46 from a heart attack my brothers jim coulter and robbie were also miners from fauldhouse i support a memorial to show what a dangerous and dirty jod mining was but people had no choice at the time some of my relatives were down the mines at 12 years old .

as a Child I grew up during at least two miners strikes. and at one time I was making 5 pounds 30 p and this amount had to keep our home running as there were no monies coming in, I even got the big chair as I was the breadwinner at the time . A tribute to the Hard working Miners would be so appreciated
