We are requesting that our county implement a one year moratorium on data centers. This temporary pause will give our community and local officials the necessary time to establish safeguards that protect:

• Public health and safety
• Water resources and the local environment
• Property values and quality of life
• Responsible use of taxpayer money

A moratorium does not prevent data centers permanently; it simply allows our county to carefully evaluate their impacts, create appropriate regulations, and ensure proper oversight before approving any new projects.

Our goal is to make sure that any future data center development benefits the community while minimizing risks to our citizens and local resources.

We ask our county commissioners and area planning commi to act by approving a one year moratorium to give our community the time needed to implement these protections.
