The ocean has provided and provides us with more than we can imagine and now it's time for us to give back to the oceans. The Earth requires our participation in the effort to provide more MPA's before this globally reliant ecosystem can no longer resist human disturbance and the threshold by which it lingers is broken.

The abuse of our seas, oceans and coastal areas is almost out of control, which makes the establishment of well managed and policed Marine Protected areas essential. To include sea based aquaculture enterprises in the area of MPAs is risky and potentially counter productive.
Not a luxury- an urgent necessity!
