Support 1078 Gallery's application for a beer license

After such huge cuts in funding it is vital to give 1078 the tools it needs to continue to function. 1078 provides a valuable service to our community and it would be a terrible shame if they were unable to continue hosting events due to lack of permit approval.

Lets not limit the rights of people of drinking age to enjoy a cocktail as is their right.

Arts and culture venues should be encouraged at the city level, do the right thing.

Turning down an establishment like 1078 for a beer license would be the equivelent of closing down a pool supplier because of a mosquito problem. Concerns about community drinking problems don't come from places where people average 2-3 low alcohol drinks with live music, they come from the establishments that sell high alcohol drinks for far too cheap. Turning down 1078 would be detrimental to the classic and vibrant Chico art and music scene, and would help no one.

This is a legit venue that deserves to be able to make money selling alcohol.

give them a beer license and allow this town some chance at offering cultural events that are so needed in Chico.

I don't drink, but I understand that nighttime venues need to be able to offer alcoholic beverages to drive enough revenue to survive. An art gallery is not a rave; let people enjoy themselves.

I am so happy to supprt the 1078 Gallery. It is a wonderfl fixture for Chico, and minor sales of beer and wine will help the lights stay on, and keep the arts thriving.

I support 1078 having an alcohol license. I love attedning arts and community events at 1078 and I want to be able to enjoy a beer as I mingle and support.

This space is needed for any community. You are so lucky to have it! Keep them alive and support them!
