As a volunteer and guest at 1078 I urge you to approve their application for a beer license. Being able to enjoy a drink while pursuing an art event or listening to music ads to the enjoyment of these experiences. It also allows a small, but important, revenue stream for the entirely volunteer staff.

I attended an art show event here, and it was safe, entertaining, and well organized. I felt like the management here was responsible and they are dedicated to getting the arts out to the public. Butte County needs to maintain an art culture. The population here is deserving of culture, and should be encouraged. If serving beer and wine help to support the arts, then a beer license is a worthy pursuit.

1078 supports a vibrant culture of the arts, music, community and is multi-cultural and multi-generational. This is symbolic of a whole and healthy culture. They support the people of our community young and elders alike, young families and single aspiring adults yearning to contribute to our community and make a difference. I support the 1078 and their application for a beer license. Thank you!!

In the wake of the regrettable decision for the City of Chico to de-fund the Arts, venues that contribute to the vital and irreplacable Arts community in Chico must be given a way to keep their doors open! Please, City Council, grant the 1078 Gallery a beer and wine license so this wonderful venue can survive!

This is such a pleasant cozy venue. Art, music, and a drink go together - as shown by the amount of daily licenses they have used.

Best luck...let's not let another great venue disappear because of no alcohol license.

Well, I think it's OK to allow beer and wine to be served at gallery openings. I mean, champagne at an opening is pretty much de rigueur, no?

It's a lovely venue for music, art shows, literature readings and so should be able to sell alcohol.

I attend shows at 1078 several times a year. It's a nice venue for local theater and it would be great for them to be able to serve us a glass of wine. Thank you.
