My name is Christine Dodson. I was involved in a horrible car wreck, April 20,2005. The Med is the reason I survived. Thirty percent of my body was burnt and I had a head injury so I was in a coma for 7 weeks. I was in Trauma unit for awhile, then I was transferred to Burn I.C.U., then Burn step-down. Without The Med I wouldn't have survived. They have all the training to handle all this and they're equipped to handle all this. I feel that the state of Mississippi needs to support The Med better. I just read an article about it and I feel that Mississippi should give more to The Med in order to help fellow Mississippians in life or death situations. They need a place like there to be taken. There is no other place that is equipped to handle all this. The Med needs our support, so it can continue to save people's lives. Many , of which, are from Mississippi. You don't realize the importance of all this, unless something like this happens to you or one of your family members. Please help. Along with this letter I'm including signatures of people who feel the same way. These are just a few people I know.
