As many have noticed and many more have voiced their opinions towards, Slide and SuperPoke! Pets are becoming more and more selfish when it comes to their virtual play land.
More gold item collector badges are being released lately and I, personally, am affronted. I'm 17, I don't have a credit card, my family has nearly no income, so how am I supposed to have fun earning all the badges? What about younger kids and other teens? Are they supposed to convince their parents that a few pretty pixels are worth REAL cash - $2, or maybe even $5? What if their parents just don't have the money?
SPP is not making the game fun for everyone. It's all about where the money comes from; the items are becoming less appealing, selling out more quickly, or just plain impossible for some to find. Lately, I've seen people selling items and habitats in the forums for over $50 dollars. That's fifty dollars for pixels you can't even touch!
What happened to fairness and equality? Compassion? Concern for customer satisfaction? Nowadays when someone asks for something simple to be changed on SPP, they get ignored. How many real-life companies can do this to their faithful customers and still keep up business?
Now, for the purpose of the petition:
Gold item collector badges should be counted as extras (i.e., the Easter Egg Hunt badge counts as a +1). This way, gold buyers still get recognition for their contribution to SPP, but it doesn't change the total number of badges earned via achievements or coin item collecting.
For example, there are currently 11 badges obtained only by collecting/purchasing gold items. I have 35/68, but if you take away those 11 badges that I may never be able to earn, I have 35/57. If I somehow earned two of those, I'd have 35/57 +2. That explanation should cover it!
Please sign this petition if you agree! I would really like to see this changed... not just for me, but all who can't afford SPP's ridiculous pixels... Thank you for your time and please send this to everyone you can think of! I want to get as many signatures as possible, let's show 'em we're serious about this!
