We the people of the prospective state of Superior, in order to form a state allowing us greater freedom in our own self-determination, petition for a majority vote via ballot for the residents of the following counties currently in the state of Michigan. Alcona, Alger, Alpena, Antrim, Arenac, Baraga, Benzie, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Chippewa, Clare, Crawford, Delta, Dickinson, Emmet, Gladwin, Gogebic, Grand Traverse, Houghton, Iosco, Iron, Kalkaska, Keweenaw, Lake, Leelanau, Luce, Mackinac, Manistee, Marquette, Mason, Menominee, Missaukee, Montmorency, Ogemaw, Ontonagon, Osceola, Oscoda, Otsego, Presque Isle, Roscommon, Schoolcraft, and Wexford. The residents of these counties will be allowed the opportunity to vote for the formation of the state of Superior, with a capitol to be temporarily established in Sault Ste. Marie.
