DEAR WARNER BROTHERS:

This Petition is to convince Warner Brothers to distribute and release seasons 2, 3 and 4 of Superboy the TV Series (aka The Adventures of Superboy) on DVD and Blu-Ray. The series was produced by the Salkinds (Alexander and Ilya Salkind) and starred Gerard Christopher as Superboy and Stacy Haiduk as Lana Lang. This series was extremely faithful to the silver age comic books of DC's Superboy, is extremely entertaining with a great cast and memorable episodes, and it is a part of Superman History. Warner Brothers needs to realize that the Superboy series a part of the Superman Legacy.

Superman is an iconic character the world over, and seasons 2, 3 and 4 are sitting in a vault at Warner Brothers where newer generations and old cannot enjoy this incarnation of the Man of Steel. The biggest mistake that most people make in judging the Superboy series is that season one wasn't all that great, so therefore, season 2, 3 and 4 isn't either. NO -- this is completely false. In fact, with the advent of season 2, the show became great, and only got better from then on forward. Ilya Salkind moved the production of the show from Disney Studios after season one to Universal Studios (both in Florida) for the second season, 3rd and fourth seasons. This is why the show looks better in season 2; this not only pushed up the quality of the look of the sets on the show, but Gerard Christopher's portrayal as Superboy was a major hit. The rating increased as a result and the show sky-rocketed to the top 10 of syndication during season 2.

Also, during season 2, DC comic book writers were heavily involved into the writing of the series which improved it immensely. So the quality of this show cannot be judged on season one alone, not at all, and in fact the Superboy series only got better with each season. This is the truth about the Superboy TV Series.

Therefore, this petition is for all those who value the Superman legacy and wish to see nothing but the BEST of the Superboy TV series on DVD and Blu-Ray. Season was only the experimental stage of the show; season 2 was what got it going, and season 2 and 4 truly shine. Only we, the fans, can make this happen. Therefore, let's convince Warner Brothers that seasons 2, 3 and 4 of Superboy, the TV series CANNOT BE JUDGED BY VIEWING SEASON ONE ALONE. Season 2, 3 and 4 will probably do better in sales than season one, because season 2, 3 and 4 is BETTER than season one. The show got better and it hit the top 10 of syndication as soon as Gerard Christopher took over the role of Superboy. And the move to Universal Studios by Ilya Salkind gave the film the look of a much higher budget, and DC comic book writers increased the storytelling value as well.

Dear Warner Brothers, please release Superboy seasons 2, 3 and 4 on DVD and Blu-Ray. This television series will make more money than season one did on DVD, because the show only got better with each season. It is also a piece of the Superman Legacy, and three seasons of a Superman series should not be in a vault. If obscure DC related cartoons like Superfriends can be released to DVD, so can this top-quality live action series that was truly exciting to see.
