This is a Petition to the Senior Leadership of SUNY Maritime College to enact a method for the Ice Hockey team to be able to play the 2014-15 season. We expect Senior Leadership at SUNY Maritime College to do their due diligence in coming to a solution to the team being abruptly disbanded.

The Ice Hockey team is one of the most successful teams on campus in the past few years. The team has show tremendous growth and over come many obstacles to rise to a top tier team. The school the team is playing for should not be one of those obstacles.

In summary the team understands the financial restrictions of the school. We understand the school can not run a negative budget. We ask that the Senior leadership give the team, their alumni, and parents the opportunity to find the funding to support this season and many more to come.
