I had such a great experience of sunset surf I visited twice! I had two surf lessons and stayed for lunch. This is clearly a brilliant resource, not just for holidaymakers like us but clearly benefits so much of the local community through jobs, attracting tourists and sharing local knowledge with visitors. I would head back to Gwithian purely to visit this marvellous place again.

I live in America. I came across the Sunset Surf webcam 3 years ago. I fell in love with your town. I began planning a trip to see this lovely little corner of England. I have since become a member of the Southwest Coast Path Association and just this past June, visited for the first time. I am currently planning my second trip. I say this because I would have never known about Gwithian if it were not for Sunset Surf. I watched the webcam during those storms and I saw the damage as it happened as well as a water spout! Sunset Surf has made remarkable renovations, that are both coastal classic and elegant. It is a lovely place and provides so much to the community and the tourists alike. I would have never visted England if it had not been for this webcam.

Sunset Surf brings people from all around the county to Cornwall. My kids have convinced me to bring them down from Scotland again next year - they love it!

The repairs will bring tourism revenue to the council because people will use the car park infornt of Sunset Surf (rather than a cheaper alternative). And help to affirm Gwithian's spot as one of the top surfing beaches in the UK.

Please keep this lovely place open. It is run by a very welcoming family who with their great staff run this business to a high standard. It would be a great lose to Cornwall if you don't allow them to continue their good work.

Although the cafe has been revamped, the design to me doesn't feel radically different to the old Sunset Surf. I do think that the revamp is a big improvement on the old cafe and brings the feel of the place into the 21st Century whilst retaining much of the original look. The place still seems very much in-keeping with the buildings around it - I can't understand why there would be a problem.

Although not currently a resident of Cornwall, I would like to add my support to the Sunset Cafe planning application.
The café provides a much needed resource to locals and visitors alike and contributes significantly to the popularity of the Gwithian beaches. I can see no benefit to any action that may bring about a risk of the café closing, resulting in declining visitor numbers (& reduced parking revenue) for the area. Therefore dear Councillors, I respectfully request that you work closely with the Sunset Café Partners to reach an amicable solution to the planning request.

They have done a fantastic job in keeping with the environment. Looking after locals and tourist alike. Bearing in mind Cornwall council tourism is the only thing left after the collapse of farming mining and fishing.

A vital resource at Gwithian, enjoyed by thousands every year, locals and holiday makers alike. The revamp looks great and doesn't detract from the look of the area - unlike some of the more recents "chalets" that have been built!
