sunset surf is a real asset to tourism during the summer season and to the local community out of season. i feel strongly that cornwall council should do everything it can to support all sunset surf and to help the business survive and thrive by granting retrospective planning permission.

I fully support the Sunset Surf Cafe's petition for retrospective planning permission. It would be such a shame to lose our cafe; it's a valuable asset to our community.

hope this planning goes through, the Sunset Surf is an integral part of our holidays to Cornwall and has been for over ten years. The web cam is very important to the cafe and attracts people to the area from far and wide, good luck Sunset Surf we are all backing you

The cafe gave my son a much needed summer job and he loves it. It's a great cafe with amazing views and the food is excellent. It would be a huge loss to the area if the cafe closed.

A very popular destination for holidaymakers is well catered for by Sunset Surf. If red tape forces closure of such a benefit to tourist trade Cornwall will suffer in more ways by a reduction in visitors (parking revenue). DO not cut ones nose off to spite the face. No detrimental changes have been made to the property. Do the right thing and pass the application!

Allow the planning concent nothing is out of keeping with the area
and if it is perhaps it is more a building regulations issue more than a planning issue excepting that bathroom and kitchen may need planning applications but if these meet regulations what is the issue preventing granting of permission
also the fact that sunset surf provides job opertunities and income for the area must outway planning objections unless the building is totally out of character for the area which it certainly is not

I support Sunset Surf's application. As a regular visitor I see this place as a major benefit to the area and can see no reason why it should not remain as it is.

I cannot believe that there can be any justification for refusing this application. The Sunset Surf is a widely known, much-loved and very well-supported café which can only be a good thing for the local area. It has long been and will remain a highlight of any visit we make to Cornwall. Please do the right thing. Thank you

Please don't close Sunset Surf. It's a wonderful place for locally sourced products, therefore supporting local businesses. Also great for holiday essentials and the food is amazing.

I feel strongly that retrospective planning permission be given to Sunset Surf. This is a thriving and important local business that has shown initiative and resilience following storm damage, and I believe these are qualities that should be supported in Cornwall business and planning.

From what I see of the new Sunset facade, these repairs should be applauded, not rejected. Surely this is a Bldg Regs issue and not a Planning issue?? The Sunset Surf is an icon of the Cornish tourist trade and long may it remain so. good luck with the review. Lets hope the Planning Review Committee sees sense this time.

In addition to the significant job losses, it will be a major loss to the local business community should this retrospective application be refused and Sunset Surf be forced to close. Exceptional circumstances have caused this issue and we all hope common sense will prevail and the jobs and business will be saved.

Sunset surf is part of gwithian .It provides locals and holiday makers with a fantastic place to meet up and enjoy the amazing food and soak up the atmosphere of Cornwall . If this was to close what would happen to all the employees that they provide jobs for giving them the much needed opportunity to gain experience in the work place . Not forgetting the family that will loose there livelihood and home . The tourists that come to enjoy a drink or meal and enjoy the surf lessons and pay the car parking fees which produces extra revenue for the area . Please think carefully about your decision as this would cause a terrible negative affect on such a beautiful tourist destination .

I feel this is a thriving business in an area where good employment is needed. I have seen the present layout of the premises and they blend with the surroundings. This is a prestigious cafe and teaching school to be proud of.

The work on the cafe has improved it and made it a favourite place to come. This area needs places like this to encourage visitors And boost commerce.
