Every year we come back to Hayle. The first place we go after our long 8 hour drive is the Gwithian car park and book my eldest daughter in for a surf lesson at Sunset Surf.
This place is the heart of Gwithian beach and without it it would lose some of the magic that comes with going to that beach. The staff are brilliant every year I come back and so very helpful to teaching my daughter to surf (and she loves her hot chocolate after). Do the right thing and keep this place open.

Ridiculous that this thriving business which is a hub for families and genuine decent folk from all over the world would if this little old lady gets her way be closed down. Do the honourable thing and support local businesses in this beautiful part of the Country.

Since my friends and I were sixteen years old we have enjoyed numerous camping holidays at Gwithian Farm Campsite. We have always returned to the same spot each year, not just due to the lovely campsite or the stunning beach but also to enjoy a surfer's special breakfast at Sunset Surf. It would be such a shame for an independent family run business, which provides a fantastic service to the local community and tourists alike, to be closed by a council's red tape. When instead the council should be focussed on the more important issues in the local area, such as the brown, stinking streams flowing into our ocean.

Sunset stores are part of the local community and have been for a very long time. Many people depend on it being there. It is a huge asset to beach-goers and dog walkers alike.

this place is a asset to Cornwall fab food and fab views , just leave alone Cornwall council and stop my Cornwall being ruined by property developers like Gowin manor do your job properly

Sunset Surf is a fantastic amenity for visitors to the Towans and it would be ridiculous for the area to lose such a thriving business. Not to mention the impact it would have on the livelihoods of their staff and suppliers.

we have had houses in cornwall for 20 years and my children have grown up looking forward to our visits to gwithian for body boarding and to the sunset surf for drinks and food afterwards. this application without question must be allowed for all the reasons previously given by everyone. its about time Cornish councils removed all the little people with no business experience what so ever from the decision making process, and replace them with people who can make informed decisions for the good of the local community and the tourists, which is by the way cornwalls largest form of income which supplies countless jobs throughout the county, take this away and the county will die.

I can't believe that an established business that is such a vital part of the local economy is being put through all this hassle to repair damage caused by last years storms.
If the place was a blight on the local; landscape and it was being done for monetary gain i could understand it. but its not.

I wholeheartedly support this retrospective planning application. In my opinion the repair works have improved the facility for the public and employees alike and has been completed in harmony with the surrounding environment.

Sunset Surf Cafe is an important and well used part of the Towans. The work done has resulted in a big improvement in the venue. Rejecting this planning application would be narrow minded and counterproductive and the loss of Sunset Surf would be most detrimental .

Gwithian is a beautifully unspoilt destination. People come for the lovely beach and an old-fashioned family holiday. Sunset Surf is part of that experience. They provide quality refreshments and have good facilities for surf hire and lessons, as well as a small shop.
People today are very discerning and expect high standards. Sunset Surf meets a well-established need and attracts people (and their business, and their money) to the area. And in doing so provides much-needed employment.
It is part of what keeps people coming back to Gwithian year after year.
Please support the retrospective application.
