Quite confused as to how anyone would NOT think this is a great idea. Like the post reads.. seems like a 'no-brainer.'

What a fantastic opportunity for the City of St Catharines and everyone who would benefit from these courts!!!

Would love to see more beach courts in the area.

There is a great demand for court space and low supply. This would provide a much needed opportunity for youth and adults to have a safe place to participate in a healthy activity.

I have been playing beach volleyball in St Catharines for more than 20 years and I have been living in Port Weller for over a decade. The group I play with has tried in the past to improve Sunset Beach with little success. Beach improvements have come and continue each year. I will be very happy when the city puts these posts in! A no/low cost, revenue generating activity that the entire community can enjoy and benefit from... NO BRAINER indeed!!

While I was at Brock University, I was an avid volleyball player and I met this group of guys and girls that were playing in the area. This is something special that in no way detracted to the space available to locals. There is plenty of sand and also alterantive beaches within a close drive. To reject something like this is a terrible message, not only for community building but also for youth fitness and adult fitness.

More area for beach volleyball is a great way exercise. Lots of local Rapids youth volleyball would use it as well.

This is great to have this petition; however, you need to submit your support in writing to Kristen Sullivan, Project and Development Planner with the City at [email protected]

12 volleyball courts at NO cost to the city. Pretty well no impact on the environment ( 24 poles placed into the sand) and the added benefit of more commercial revenue helping local businesses, seems like a no brainer. I believe the beaches are public property so local residents don't actually own the beach.
