We the students feel that the Summit Learning curriculum is doing more harm than good. The program submits students to unhealthy amounts of screen time, which can lead to health issues. Students report that the program makes it harder to pass classes and, most importantly, harder to understand and retain the material on the program. Students are not comfortable with the "self taught" method that summit utilizes. The Introductory Material that summit provides for students to teach themselves isn't enough. How can we be expected to "teach ourselves" when we are the students! The Summit Learning system has not been adequately researched to ensure it is a quality teaching method.We are tired of being the "experiment". The flaws are endless. We will not stop until we the student body of Oasis High School have gotten what we deserve, a fair representation in the methods used to teach us, and for Summit to be removed from our school.

Overall, Summit Learning has only been a stressful mess. Self Learning is usually a good thing, but its only truly useful when you self learn out of free will. Doing so when forced is not fun and makes you hate the subject and class more, which decreases your work motivation which then domino effects into bad grades.
summit makes the lesson so much more confusing for me. i wish the teacher would just teach it to us

The Summit Learning Program has led me to fall extremely behind on my work, as if in-school work isn't enough to do. I don't even know how to use it, and it's so pointless. I'd rather do the work in school, like every other high school.
