The Board needs to be upfront and transparent and that does not seem to be the case. This is a school that I was considering for my child and I would like that option to be available. With property values increasing and property tax revenue going up by about 10% every year coupled with general enrollment declining it doesn't make sense that the school is having financial issues. It is important that this option stays open for the students who need it and the school district should not consider closing it

As a TIDE parent, I feel disheartened by inept decision process lead by superintendent Leach, many promises were made, little was done, incompetent decision making that doesn't consider how school closure would actually solve the financial problem, lack of financial responsibility in other areas, ignoring real kids needs. Superintendent Leach needs to be held accountable for her incompetent actions. Our kids, our schools, our community deserves better.

A friend of mine's daughter attends this school. She is strongly opposed to having the school closed. I agree and urge SUHSD to open the floor for real input from the community, and answer the myriad questions and corrections that have yet to be addressed fully; further that the Board hold the Superintendent accountable to the original plan you requested and that she publicly presented. Thank you.

We have a 7th grader who is interested in the alternative that TIDE provides to a large public school. Kids need choices! Save TIDE!

I don’t feel that the community has had much of a chance to voice its opinions to the board except through private communication. I would be extremely disappointed if we were not given a chance prior to the final decision.

As an alumni of a SUHSD high school, it is extremely disappointing to hear about Superintendent Leach NOT honoring her promise of community engagement on a decision with TIDE academy. There needs to be accountability for her broken promises of town halls, up-to-date information and dialogue.
