To Whom it May Concern:

The Seattle University Student Health Center (SUSHC) is currently closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This makes it difficult for students to get prescriptions filled in a timely manner and stops many students from receiving needed health care on weekends. The collective students of Seattle University hereby request that the proper actions are taken to make sure students have access to the SUSHC on Saturdays and Sundays. We suggest that in accordance with the SUSHC's missions of enhancing student wellness and helping students direct in their own care, the SUSHC remain open on Saturdays and Sundays from 7 AM to 5 PM.

Thank you, Students of Seattle University

Updates

August 2, 2012

The volume of support has secured us a formal meeting with the university administration next week. I am currently finalizing a briefing document that outlines the specific operational changes required to implement weekend hours. We are shifting focus from public outreach to direct negotiations with the health center leadership.

Please fix this. I ran out of my meds last weekend and had to go to urgent care instead which cost way more money.

getting sick on a friday night is the worst because you have to wait until monday to see anyone. this is so necessary.

LITERALLY. it makes no sense that we dont have access to care for 2 days out of the week when we are paying full tuition.
