Sugar Creek has a history of serving the community in a variety of ways. Just a few relative to tennis...
It has generated jobs and revenue for DeKalb County.
It has provided structure, exercise, positive extra curricular activity, collegiate opportunity and a broader career perspective for our youth.
It has also provided recreation and fun
This facility should be given appropriate attention and managed efficiently and effectively with clear agreed upon goals for both the facility and DeKalb County.

Sugar Creek needs to be restored, it is a beautiful facility in the heart of an African American community and it should be restored and maintained It could be instrumental in the development of our young people. And a source of family recreation.

We need this golf and tennis center in our community. The county needs to restore and integrate SC as a vital part of the community for children, active adults and our seniors. I would be happy to participate in any way to assist.

Played at Creek for long time. Started when they had trailer for club house. At one time had best greens in Atlanta. Always had trouble getting the county to do anything. Poor management and new clubhouse led to downfall of course and reason for several of us to leave. Hate to say it but I don't think the county wants to do anything at the course and probably will close it down for good.

This was a great golf course but has been going down hill for a long time; finally hit bottom. In my view, it needs the attention of the appropriate commissioner and the County CEO. Mr Thurmon seems to want to fix things

The current county "plan" is no plan at all. There is a PLAN in place and it is sound! Members of the Sugar Creek Men's Golf Association and concerned citizens have a REAL plan ready. Let's not continue to make the same mistakes that have been made in the past and expect different results.
