We all love the First Amendment, but lets keep media free from dirty tricks promoting hate. Since the subliminal combined with the very subtle are not perceived consciously, the viewer or listener cannot reject the message and does not realize they are being manipulated.

As the media sponsored private research creates more and better ways to manipulate, the consumer is at an ever-increasing disadvantage. Lets keep things as fair as possible and discourage these dirty tricks .

The subliminal star is highlighted in red. It was not consciously perceived by viewers, only non-consciously. Note: As used here, subliminal includes messages or symbols deliberately "hidden" so as not to be consciously perceived, using techniques such as inattentional blindness (e.g. the viewer is focusing on something else). Of course it also includes messages presented too fast or faint to be consciously perceived.
