In order to take Debate and Forensics as a class, my student then had to take on 9 classes. It would have really been nice for this student to have a study hall in their schedule. Not that the student ever wanted to take 8 classes to begin with. Let me recap the logic here: 300 students were skipping lunch (hardly a majority of the school), so your only solution was to force everyone to take 8 classes? The least you could do for the other 900 or so students is offer them a study hall. It might also be a great apology for botching the transition to the block scheduling and not having enough of the classes students wanted to take available.

My son has a library aid period which he uses as a study hall. It is great how much he gets done.

I feel like this petition is a waste of time and everyone here needs to suck it up because there are people that are doing just fine with the schedule and when they go out in the real world nobody (especially not their employers or their professors) is going to care about how the "feel" about the schedule because they can always find someone to do replace them if they don't want to. Suck it up everyone

I have a child who will take 7 classes during the day and robotics at night. Nine classes is too many. While we LOVE the eight class schedule, adding robotics 2 at night will require that he either do a study hall, come to school late, or leave early, or be an aide. My first choice would be that he have the option of a study hall.
