We ask the Board of Supervisors to vote to table CPA201500001 (Boundary Adjustment for the Southern Urban Neighborhood) until you complete and publicly discuss all studies necessary for a well-informed decision to change our approved Comprehensive Plan. These studies include:

* A Neighborhood Master Plan for the combined Southern and Western Neighborhoods, which will provide a total development plan for our southern corridor. We request that you establish a Citizens' Advisory Council in the review process. This planning must come before any changes to the Comprehensive Plan, not during a rezoning process.

* A Comprehensive Land Use Plan which tallies all County lands currently available for industrial purposes and which determines how much land the market needs. This important study undertaken by the Economic Development Department is not complete and is critically important. Adding land before we know what we really need is not good business practice.
