British Columbia, home to some of the most geographically unique landscapes and biologically diverse ecosystems in North America, truly lives up to its reputation as the best place on earth. From its luscious temperate forests to its breath taking mountain ranges, it simply is Mother Nature at its finest. One of BC’s hidden gems is nestled in the far Southeast corner of the province. The Flathead River Valley home to the largest density of Canadian Grizzly bears as well as some of BC’s most incredibly diverse and unique species. Our goal is to write an open letter from the students of British Columbia to the provincial government to support the implementation and development of the Flathead River Valley National Park. The establishment a national park would provide fully protected corridors between Waterton National Park in Alberta and Glacier National Park in Montana, USA, as well as provide a sanctuary for wildlife to flourish. Help take action, sign this petition, and let’s make a difference!
