To: Connecticut College Dining Services Connecticut College proudly defines itself as a global institution. Thus, the members of the Conn Coll community have both the opportunity and responsibility to promote sustainable livelihoods for workers worldwide who have often been hindered by the current rules of international trade. These workers deserve our direct attention, as we constantly become a more closely connected global society. We recognize that Fair Trade certified goods ensure such attention, as well as maintain quality and affordability that has proven successful on campuses nationwide. As such, the undersigned demand that our dining services, serve only bananas that comply with international Fair Trade certified standards, regardless of consumer price changes that may occur as a result of this attention. Sincerely, The Undersigned
