This is so true. Getting through exams when you have a long term condition is hard enough without the extra stress of unfair rules.

The rules around dispensations for exams are unfair and do not take into consideration long term illness and ongoing health issues or disabilities, especially the "hidden" ones.

A derived grade is obtained from NCEA external exam conditions anyways. If a student has been diagnosed with a chronic condition which can affect their academic performance in any way, it should be looked at on a case-by-case basis if possible.
