Ms. Nandlal deserves the repercussions of her actions. It is not simply about saying that she did not intend to follow through on her threat, but her actions have far reaching implications. Ms. Nandal was preaching to her young, impressionable students and encouraging violence in the heart and minds of the young. She was encouraging hate for the vulnerable LGBT community and those who do not adhere to her beliefs. Ms. Nandlal does not deserve to be in a position where her negative views can impact on young minds, and the good she may have done throughout her career will be forgotten and forever stained by her hate-filled, disgusting and violent words.

It is disgusting the way this teacher has been treated when her ultimate motive was to promote what is correct. She spoke out against the heinous crimes of homosexuality and atheism, and in her passion, she used inappropriate expressions. The child who started this entire fiasco should be suspended and face discipline for staining someone's reputation like this.
I hope Miss Nandlal is given no punishment and offered an apology. As a past Naparima College student, I would hate to see this non-sense continue any further!
