Mr. Calvert is a HUGE asset to not only Livermore Elementary but to the community of McLean County. I am thankful for his role in coaching my sons through a deployment, divorce and relocating to a new school. The Tichenor boys are better young men because of his influence in their lives!

Mr. Calvert helped not only my son but he also helped me husband and I through a very difficult time. That has been 6 years ago and he has continued to help my 3 other children. Hearing the news I actually cried because he doesn't even realize how much he helped our family. My son wouldn't be the person he is today without him.

Guidance Counselors are essential to our children. These kids are the future leaders of this community and beyond. They deserve proper guidance to be prepared for whatever their life entails.

Why are we taking away such a crucial asset to our youth? We have school nurses for the physical well being of our kids and we need our guidance counselor to meet the emotional needs of our kids. Mental Health is Health! When you're in elementary school, it's an extremely important part of your development. How you're raised at home and how you learn in school is a great influence. School counselors ensure there are no troubles at home and there are no learning difficulties. Every student learns differently, and by figuring out how a child learns the best, they can help the child grow and become successful.
