My son has worked with him since he was about 5 years old. He has the one that he opened up to about a lot of things that he hasn't told us his parents. He has helped him in so many ways u couldn't believe it. He is very respectful man to not only my son but everybody around him. This will hurt a lot of kids taking him out of the school. My son has learned a lot from him not just educationally but mentally as well. This is heart breaking and will hurt a lot of people. He has made a very big impact on kids and parents since he has been there. Don't take him out of the school. He is helping a lot of kids with there battles through school or what ever they might be facing. I know he has made a very big impact on my son and I couldn't take him enough for that.

I have seen Mr. Calvert interact with children and I think it would be a disgrace to let him go from a job that he passionately loves!!!

Mr.calvert is a really kind hearted and would do anything to help in the best way possible. My little brother went to work with Mr Calvert at the old island school. He was even apart of the basketball ream and Mr Calvert cheered him and the rest of the basketball team here in mclean county. Mr.calvert should stay because he's teaching and showing the kids of mclean county how to do things in life. For the kids of mclean county's future and to keep going even when it's hard.

The children would suffer without Mr.Calvert he has helped so many students. Awesome at his job to him it’s not a job it’s his way of being the person he is. What a shame I don’t understand why he would be let go. If there isn’t enough funds for him I sure hope it’s not enough funds for someone else.

He's one of the best people I know. He cares immensely for the kids at his school. To get rid of him would be a shame. Most elementary schools don't have male role models for young boys and he is the best role model you can ask for.

Both my boys think the world of Jonathan. It's unfortunate that our county is penalized in funding by the Dept. of Education (Kentucky) because we desire to live in small communities. Island suffered drastically when our school was closed in the 90's and now Livermore/Island students are penalized due to lack of funding in a time when families are suffering the most.
