While I haven't used the NMHS bathrooms yet this school year, I feel this issue is completely ridiculous. Open the bathrooms, Shugrue.

A girl in my math class almost locked into a bathroom because the guy security guard wasn’t allowed to enter to check to see if there was anyone in the bathroom.

The school bathroom policy is highly counterproductive with what the real intentions of a school are. New Milford High School students, like myself, are mostly taking time out of a learning environment to go use the bathroom, where we will likely miss out on taking notes, or lose time completing a test. Yes, the first floor bathroom may always be open during the entire school day, but it inconveniences the students who must go from the third floor, to the first floor bathroom, and back to third floor within the short 5 minute span of time that we have. The new policy must be fixed, and it must be fixed sooner than later.
