Dear parents & students,
Dps Bangalore North decided to have offline exams for 9th and 11th grade.
This decision was taking in around a week before the online final exams were scheduled. Parents concern was not taken into account for this final examination
They sent a message saying it is compulsory as there will be offline exams.
When students asked doubts about the exams the teachers claimed it was a government directive.
However the government directive clearly stated that it totally depends on the decision of the parents and students whereas this was not done so

DPS has a lot of strength in numbers where each grade has around 400-500 students and they call them to school to take exams.
The consent form sent by the school stated there are risks for the students coming to school that they might have contact with the virus and the school will not be reliable for anything related to that. At the same time, there is no alternative provided by the school to opt for online exams even though we have the rights to do so.
Further, the parents had mailed the school regarding their concern, many mails had been sent but most of them haven't recieved any answers.
Any questions asked to the teachers they just tell us to direct it to the office.
A petition was already made which close to 1500 people signed it. To that, the school said they will come up with something about it but in place they spread a message saying the exams will still happen offline like it was planned.
The school also mentioned that no transport will be provided and some have working parents and not everyone can manage transport to school 2 times a day 5 times and usage of public vehicles in the environment is really not safe.
A lot of students have their grandparents and younger siblings living with them and everyone comes to risk for which the school says will not be responsible for.
The school also mentioned that uniforms are compulsory to attend. Many students have joined the school new after 10th grade and they have not bought the the same it was only online classes going on. Coming to school again to buy uniform exposes parents and the students ti greater risk.
This idea if having offline exams was just taken by dps north, it's sister schools like dps east are conducting online exams and our school does not even give an option for the same as the teachers openly messaged concerned parents "to write finals the students need to come to school" and on further questions they ended with saying something will be done about it.
Calling 1000+ people to school in this unprecedented is very risky and the management has not made a good decision
The school may not take this into consideration like the last time but we will make sure this reaches everybody.
