Every school year, students pay a student fee to the school and to DSBA.

The General Student Fee is $760 and the SBA Fee is $110. You may look this information up here: https://www.lls.edu/studentaccounts/tuitionandfees/

These fees are split between the Fall and Spring semesters evenly; students pay $380 and $55 respectively for the General Student Fee and the SBA Fee per semester. As you are all aware, classes were moved beginning March 10, to an online platform due to a pandemic. Since then our campus closed down, removing students' need to park, study, and access physical resources on campus.

Since then, a number of you have privately contacted me asking if DSBA could advocate for students for a refund regarding student fees.

I have been in contact with the administration, faculty, and staff over this issue. In order to have a bigger impact in our request, I have opted to gather as many signatures from Loyola Law School Students requesting for a partial General Student Fee refund.

Classes began on January 13 and were moved to an online platform on March 10. The last day of classes is April 24th, including flex days. This adds up to 14 weeks and 5 days, or 15 weeks of classes. $380 divided by 15 weeks equates to $25.33 per week. Because we moved to online classes for 7 weeks and did not have access to our normal resources, I am requesting that the school refund each student $177.33.
