Let's get all career criminals off Kauai Streets. Really tired of having to constantly worry about our property and these people taking it and not being properly punished.

Mr. Matsumoto is quite obviously a repeat offender. Common sense would indicate that he is unrepentant and is likely to commit further crimes. As law-abiding citizens, we should be protected by stiff sentences administered by the criminal justice system.

It is time to end this individual's opportunity to "terrorize" the law abiding citizens of Kauai. I hope you people know more that just what this petition says before signing this petition. I cannot sign this petition with good conscience while not knowing the many details related to this mans crimes. If it is just the speculation that after his arrest the crime rate dropped is not evidence or fair. The old saying.... better a thousand guilty men go free rather than one innocent man be imprisoned has long been lost in the couintry.

As it states in your petition " Worthy of note is that in 2012, detailed records were kept and Princeville residents experienced a burglary rate twice normal (nearly 8 per month) from January through August. Then Mr. Matsumoto and 3 others were arrested, and the burglary rate dropped to half normal (about 2 per month). We do not think this was coincidental." this is the most unintelligent statements and pretty ridiculous reasons to file a petition and those of you who base yr signatures on this, Shame on you.!!!!!! I want to add that just becuase someone is arrested for something doesnt mean that they are incarcerated at that time or anytime in the near future for that matter......The only person who was arrested and remined incarcerated was JUSTIN BERRY!!!!!!! Kyle Matsumoto as well as two of the three people that were arrested that were in connection to a supposed burgalry ring were bailed out the day of there arrest and remained free......I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I WAS ONE OF THOSE OTHER TWO PEOPLE!!!!! so to say that the crime rate dropped as a result could only mean ONE THING!!!! the person who remains incarcerated since that arrest was probably responisble for most of the crimes that happened during that time!!!!!! FOR THE RECORD THAT CASE THAT I WAS ARRESTED FOR WAS DISMISSED IN COURT AND I WAS NEVER PROSUCUTED, OR CONVICTED OF THAT CRIME.....NOR HAVE I EVER BEEN ARRESTED PROSOCUTED OR CONVICTED FOR ANY CRIME AT ALL IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!! This petition is obviously brought forward by a small percentage of people who live in princeville!!!!and by no means do any of you have the right to decide anyones future based upon your supposed judgments on them!!! id look again into all of your sources of your information and rethink you decisions based upopn what you know to be true rather than what you have heard from people who have passed it along from person to person!
