Funding for a replacement option should be OF TOP PRIORITY to not just Highland Council, but to the Scottish Government as well. All money is spent on new bypasses for places like Inverness and Elgin, which do not need a bypass. From goods vehicles to the local school bus hundreds of vehicles pass through the Bypass everyday, and when there is a fatality on the road the Council and Government will have nobody to blame BUT THEMSELVES. SAVE OUR AREA & OUR PEOPLE, CHANGE OUR ROAD.

I believe the Highland Council is doing a thorough job to find the best available solution to this problem, which was created many decades ago. The cost, whichever option is chosen, will be far more than any local council can meet. This route is not just local, or even regional, it is of national importance and of international value in our essential tourism business. It is therefore necessary for most of the funding to come from outside the region, including a major contribution from the Government in Edinburgh.

As someone who is well versed with the problems above the road on the Stromeferry By pass, I feel that if this issue is not resolved soon, there will be a fatality.
