6 cars were broken into the same night that my gear was stolen from my car and my car was ransacked. 801 housing really needs more lighting and pmo access to help deter perpetrators. I’m not trying to be rude but, why would I report to housing about my CIF gear being stolen when they can’t do anything about it. PMO access is essential because when my gear was stolen I called the sheriff’s office at 11 am and no one came until 9 pm. PMO could have gotten here in an appropriate time frame. Another reason why 801 housing needs more lighting is because when my wife and my 3 month old child were going out to dinner one night an unleashed big dog came running at my wife and kid. This could have ended badly. Also with it being so dark and dog poop is often left on the ground it gets stepped in because I can’t see at night. It’s ridiculous.

I stay in Joe Davis and it a long dark walk to my front door with my 3 month old at night. 801 housing definitely needs more street lighting. This is not safe. I can barely see. I should feel safer living in base housing than I do off base. Since it is so dark it’s easier for people to break into your cars and houses. And my husband’s car has already been broken into the second month we were here in Joe Davis. We have never had to deal with anything like this. It’s very disappointing. It’s sad that my family and my property were safer off base in civilian housing than government housing.

Street lights should definitely be placed in 801 housing! The lights above our cars that don’t all work, aren’t enough for those that like to walk their pets at night or maybe have to work late or come home late from work.

Please! I am so scared in this community. The gates are always open, when they aren’t... random people hop the fence. I am always in fear that someone is going to break in or steal something.

Getting out the car with two Little’s ones and walking to the house is hard as it is but when there is no lights makes it 10times harder. Street lights would help so much and be less scary for my kids

Street lights and better carport light upkeep would be great and make me feel a lot safer!

When driving or walking at night it gets very hard to see. We need street lamps for security and just the well being of our community.

I am a resident of 801, off base community and I know how scary it can be at night to walk my dog. Street lights are a necessity out here especially with as many break ins that have occurred.

Often the porch lights go out and are not replaced in a timely manner. It would be nice to have more than just the car port light to get me to my front door.

I think 801 housing needs street lights. I have seen all the ladies post about how “teens” are trying to open their doors at night. I think it is a necessity.
