Every day 500 million single use plastic straws are discarded in the United States. With our oceans and landfills at capacity with non-biodegradable plastic waste, the time to create change is now. Our future has never depended on our actions more. Please sign this petition if you are a Santa Fe (or surrounding area) resident and would like to see law makers create an ordinance that would require bars and restaurants to carry eco-friendly straw options.
