We should be allowed ADSL2+ as well. and extra exchange should be stopping us from having it.

I am sick of having slow internet speed in my area.

had to switch from iinet to optus for faster sppeds am now getting 15mps at 95 a month bundle was paying iinet for adsl one about 60 bucks shame had to switch iinet was good but not as fast optus a lot more der

I think Stratton should have its own exchange considering that the housing development in the surrounding area is now starting to increase and its about time something has to be done in regards to improving the quality of the internet market, as others have mentioned in the comments we are being forced to pay more for less which is a joke. The point made would be adding in an exchange to draw in more competition which would offer better products/services and the it would add slight niche to the housing development which would allow more people to move into area like stratton and its surrounding neighbors. Think of the younger generation the choices and the ability to do more at school/colleges.. I understand that Money can be a problem to implement such infrastructure but i leave the council/shire with this statement "if you you dont spend the money on the infrastructure then how can development thrive in a community".

Emma

Moved into Stratton temporarily (renting) in order to be closer to school. However, trying to complete any work here at home using the internet is exceptionally painful and time consuming due to slow speeds and constant disconnections. Payed less for internet in Darlington, ($80month with iinet) for unlimited downloads, adsl2+ speeds and no congestion/disconnections. Would rather put up with the bad public transport there, than the terrible internet here lol. It's not fair that people in Stratton are paying the same money for a far inferior internet service. (posted using mobile 4G)

Money is tight enough without beeing lokked out of compettitive internet prices. Signed.

We are so far behind other countries with our internet, we should not however be behind other suburbs/towns in our own state. Internet is the way of the future and that is the way we should be heading, no matter where you live.

We should all be pushing for a NBN install date.... I can't see the exchange being re-classified... By rights it should be classified as its own exchange as its has all the equipment (as any normal exchange has), But it would allow other isp's to gain access and install their own equipment...

It took me like 10 minutes just to load this page :( So tired of slow internet speeds and not being able to have a choice of internet providers and services. Something needs to be done asap, why should the residents of Stratton & Jane Brook continue to suffer in the dark ages!! What's 4G, I am lucky to get H+

Its sad how we pay big money for the use on internet and still get shit service. Its funny how Australia is a country where we can have it and we are so behind in technology. Especially WA. The wait a side. Please update the internet service to fast.

It is really absurd that a community with a Sub Station nearby cannot access ADSL2 because of Telstra being not willing to let competitors place their equipment in the sub station. The whole community has put up with "a bit better than dialup" service and let's all hope that this petition can change things.

We have asked for this a few times but have been told it will cost us a few hundred dollars, that's not fair.

Telstra you are stealing our money by signing us up with the promise of ADSL 2 speeds and then offering low ADSL speeds claiming congestion. You obviously know the line is congested but you don't inform your customers until after they complain. This is false advertising and amounts to a monopoly and unfair distribution of service.
