With the population of Leeds reaching 12,000+ members (2023) we feel that at minimum, one community shelter is needed for the citizens use in emergency situations.

There is a definite need for this shelter. What city doesnt care about the safety of it's citizens.
I don’t have a safe room in my house for me and my dog. This storm is worrying me.
This is a long time coming we need a safe place for all the residents that live in manufactured homes to go when storms comes
Most definitely!! I'm sure there are grants for this and I'm surprised we don't have at least one!
We need a storm shelter, there are at least a few thousand who live in our area in mobile homes

There is absolutely no excuse for our city not having a storm shelter for our citizens who so desperately need a "safe place" during extreme events.
