Like many local residents in the Wollondilly area, we have been faced with the Government's proposal of a second Sydney airport at Wilton. Representing Wollondilly at the YMCA NSW Youth Parliament 2012, I have set out to fight for something that is currently addressing out area, in this case the proposed second Sydney airport. If I receive enough signatures I have the possibility of speaking in Parliament at Youth Parliament in July, where members of parliament shall be attending. Sydney Airport has space to grow, we do not need another airport and definitely not at Wilton. Many environmental factors will see the Wollondilly area decrease in its natural beauty, but also our water catchment being pollutes, which in turn will affect Sydney.
The momentum behind this petition confirms that the preservation of the Wollondilly area is a priority for many. This level of engagement provides a strong foundation as I prepare to present our concerns regarding the proposed airport at the upcoming Youth Parliament session.

Keep the airport away from wilton!! its supposed to be a quiet area not a plane hub. think of the koalas and the water supply seriously.

Bad for the environment and bad for residents. why is this even being considered? keep the planes in sydney or somewhere out west.

Ridiculous idea. Traffic is already a nightmare around here without thousands of tourists and freight trucks clogging up our roads.

My family have lived in wollondilly for 30 years. we moved here for the fresh air. dont ruin our home with noise pollution just because sydney cant manage their own growth.

The government never listens to people out here. the water catchment is way more important than a new airport. leave it alone.
