This bill, which was passed by the Senate on Tuesday by a 22 - 18 vote of all 20 republicans, is inline to be signed by Governor Bob McDonnell in July. This bill would allow private agencies to deny placements that conflict with their religious or moral beliefs, including opposition to homosexuality.
I believe that stopping a minority based on religion or sexual orientation is going well out of the bounds of the laws of basic legislation. The Senate, House, and Governor of Virginia should not have the right to tell a family what it's definition MUST be. We, the people of the world should have the right to choose what we want our families to be. Not someone with political morals!! Join me in collecting enough signatures to STOP this from happening!!
This is just shameful. Kids need loving homes regardless of who they are raised by. Politics have no place in adoption and this makes me so angry.
