We need MORE - not less, places for summer recreation and it is important to encourage - not demolish, all outdoor sports.

Please do not make this mistake and destroy the heritage that this sailing club represents to Pointe Claire and Montreal. People from all over Montreal, in addition to a large number of locals, come to this specific spot to enjoy the views and sailing this club provides.

Sailed here for many, many years and still visit and join friends on occasion. The city is well aware that the elimination of this jewel is a sore spot they will live with for a long time. Obviously a political move, but to the benefit of who?

Please keep the Venture Sailing Club intact, in place. The neighborhood needs this type of building which is an integral part of Pointe Claire's charm.

I learned to sail at this club in the 1970s. It has served the community in a positive way for decades and it would be a terrible shame to lose it.
