I am in favour of rebuilding the shed and encourage the City to promote our Sailing Club, for we are lucky to have this "Jewel"

This is a peaceful and beautiful area that should not be tampered with crazy projects such as the one the city is considering doing.

Stop the demolition. The marina is historically tied to the local history

Les membres du club Venture qui ne sont pas des résidents de Pointe-Claire (et qui seraient exclus du nouveau club) sont à considérer comme un apport économique intéressant pour les commerces et les restaurants de Pointe-Claire.

I only have a kayak and live in Beaconsfield
This is a great accomodation for the "neighbours" and its sad to this go
It will end up like Lachine park for outsiders day at the beach
As occasional visitor to Venture Sailing Club, one of my preferred spot on the island, I strongly oppose the demolition of a well managed Club to make way to new facilities

Eliminating the docks, the shuttle service and half of the moorings will kill the club. At best, a new city run "club" will need to charge much higher fees to provide the same services for ½ the number of members. Which means that in a couple of years, the city "club" will fail and there will be no more sailboats on Valois Bay. The mayor and city council have to realize this. To claim anything else is being disingenous. Someone has a problem with sailing and sailors. That is the real motivation.

Ill-conceived initiative by poorly-informed councillors.
