Who's idea was that anyhow ? That area is green space as all areas bordering lakeshore having been designated as such by the city of pointe claire. To turn that peaceful lovely area into a playground is unthinkable, further, more greenspace would have to be turned into parking areas as almost all the children would arrive with their parents by car, .....!! since hardly any live near that area. ...

I cannot believe that the City is planning to disrupt such a quiet, peaceful and lovely area. There are very few children living in that area. Why not build where children live. There are many other areas where the City can build. If their goal is to generate revenue, then they could think of sailing lessons or other quiet activities which would respect the environment.

Let us keep Pointe Claire peaceful. We have enough noise in the world.

The sailing basin is an unpretentious facility that could use a bit of work, but that is exactly why it adds to the charm of our little neighbourhood. There is no need to level it to make room for something else.

C'est une richesse d'exploiter ainsi les berges. Permettre aux gens de pratiquer leur passion dans un aussi beau lieu, il y certainement une façon de jumeler les 2 projets.

We need to keep the green Area. Keep the serenity of the park. The sailing is all part of the Neighborhood landscape. Please just keep it the way it is

If the City goes ahead with this project we`ll feel very sorry for the residents of Lakeshore Road who will have to put up with constant noise that will continue well into eah evening.

I think it's more important on fixing our city than to waste money on a waterpark, volleyball and swings. There are more pressing matter!!!!

The Pointe-claire village would be a perfect place for those activities, this idea of always needing to hoarder natures quiet and peaceful places is absurd, not only is it a place our seniors can go to and just relax but the view and scenery of this scenic place is too beautiful to just demolish and have activities where there will be beer cans, cigarettes and food that will pollute a nice environment ,it has been a wonderful place for the children to learn sailing at the summer camp and actually learn outdoor activities. Why ruin a good thing.

Why not develop this recreational aquatic set-up at Bourgeau park?... Much more appropriate than in my quiet and bucolic neighborhood.

I am a 100% against this project being developed in my peaceful and charming neighbourhood. Why haven't we been consulted on such a huge decision? We must win this battle!

I am totally against this project! This sailing bay is one of the most beautiful waterfront areas in the whole West Island.

Save the Venture! It is a heritage site, having replaced the Valois Boating Club.

why not set up this "amusement" park somewhere less of a natural site.

I totally agree that the Venture sailing club and the surrounding area should be left untouched. We have enjoyed the park and lake’s peacefulness for over 17 years living on water’s edge av. Some things are better left alone and this is one of them. Sincerely Rui
