It destroys the show. I can't focus on what I'm watching. I have to turn it off

I won't watch any show with a logo plastered on it. It ruins the illusion of the show for me and obscures the show's scenery. If the networks refuse to remove the logos then I'll stick with content elsewhere that doesn't have logos. Intrusive and obnoxious.

I already know what channel I am watching. I do not need or want reminders. I also do not want to be reminded the name or episode of the show that I am watching. I also do not want to be informed about a new show or new season starting up while I am watching a program. Use a commercial not the show that I am watching for your network advertising, please. You are hurting the presentation of the programming.

Ruining Oled tv

I support this petition wholeheartedly. Those damned channel logos really spoil the viewing of a good film. For example, if I'm watching a film that is set in the 19th century (as in say Victorian era costume movies), I don't want to see a 'modern-day' stupid logo ruining the whole atmosphere of the film. As I write this I am looking at my screen & the logo showing is huge & quite frankly is ruining the whole look of the film that is currently on. It's irritating, annoying & completely unnecessary.

Cooking Channel is worse! Ever since Discovery Communications bought Scripps Interactive, when some austere moment comes for them to plug some show a little off into the future, it's ALWAYS an overlay obscuring important info on one of their travel related food shows! No, I don't give a sh*t about when "Cheap Eats season premiere" is gonna air two weeks from now, I wanna know WHERE in Dallas (I live in Fort Worth) is a certain restaurant! Or at least its name so I can Google it! But NOOOOO... y'all had to "helpfully" inform me when the Cheap Eats season premiere is gonna air! Thanks, but that's what an ON-SCREEN GUIDE IS FOR! I'm about to go full cable cutter soon. Started subscribing (read: paying for) YouTube Red, I'm better because of that. If the UK TV licensing office isn't gonna listen, good luck trying to convince the FCC on the same.

Please, Discovery Communications (fka Scripps Interactive)... STOP with overlaying useless "coming soon" bugs over crucial info on your travel related shows on Cooking Channel, Food Network, etc.! Ever since you bought Scripps, it's gone insane! No wonder why I'm about to /dev/null my DirecTV sub because YouTube Red is 1000x better. And worth the US$9.99/month, about 90% cheaper than the $90/month I'm paying for compressed shows (Viacom, icy stare!), more ads than content (I couldn't even stand to watch an episode of "Catfish" without an ad break EVERY TWO MINUTES of programming, and the ads were at least EIGHT minutes long. I tho

Let's not forget to add the pop up ad banner. In Canada on the Rogers cable network the History channel logo is very bright thru the complete show and then about 5 seconds into show after returning from the commercials there is a pop up banner ad. Why? Voiced my complaint with Rogers with no success so I will look at other options and consider cancelling cable and then they can ask why I cancelling. Maybe if enough people do the same then they will consider making technical changes.

They are trespassing.

i pay over $150 per mont for Direct TV and I think it should be against FCC regulations to advertise during programming. I am not stupid, I know what channel I am watching!!!!!!!!

Ray

It completely ruins a program for me when a logo is obnoxiously big and not even opaque. This, along with text that stays there for the whole program makes it impossible for me to get into the experience of the show I'm trying to watch. This had better change or the stations will lose more and more viewers to Netflix, me included.

I am tired of the digital logos and onscreen advertising for upcoming programs showing over the top of my shows. They are getting larger and taking up more space.

Jamie

1) I know what channel I'm watching 2) Sometimes the logo blocks graphic text on screen (really?!?!?!) 3) STOP BURNING INTO MY SCREEN

Philip Paterson

Unecessary and annoying. I know what channel I'm watching!! Too large and intrusive that ruins normal viewing experience with some images being burned on to my TV screen! PLEASE STOP IT!!

Donna Durenberger

How are these legal when we have to pay for our channels. I refuse to watch many of the channels with the worst logos.

Ron Keith

very tacky and annoying when watching a program

Lauren

yea remove the logos.

Jesse Skeen

This has gone on FAR too long in the US. To date nobody in the industry has been able to give us hard evidence of anything they have GAINED by doing this.

Donna Durenberger

How can it even be legal to clutter up my screen with advertising on a channel that I am paying for? The FCC must be getting paid off to allow this to happen!

Mark renshaw

Please remove them as they are getting really annoying now with adverts for other shows,I don't need to see what channel I'm watching as I put it on so I know!!!!!!

Trevor Pitts

It's getting worse - hate the text advertising future program so for days on end. If they have to do it why can't they just flash them up

Gabriel Heart

TNT is particularly annoying with their big logo and long text next to it and it never goes away except during commercials. We are paying to watch their channel and should have some say about what we see. The logos are really annoying during sporting events. It makes me want to watch a different channel. We can press the info button if we need to know what channel we are watching.

I believe that these logos are advertising and should be illegal while programs are aired. We pay way too much for television to put up with this annoying crap. I just stopped watching The Blacklist today because their logo is now in the middle of the screen. I will wait to watch it on Netflix!!!!

The logos are ridiculous and cause burn in on Oled Displays which might I add will be increasingly own by more and more people. Also it is very distracting!
