We the undersigned call upon the state, county, town and village officials of New York State and Rockland County to oppose the construction of a chicken slaughterhouse in New Square. In that the Rockland County Planning Board has found the project to be "an incompatible industrial use that should not be permitted alongside residential properties" and the environmental impact would have a "devastating effect" on the surrounding communities, all legal remedies should be employed to stop the construction of the slaughterhouse.
