This is a petition to stop the monumental wages given to footballers. The lot of them need to wake up and realise that they are not the only people in the world and that there are other people who need what they have and would do anything for just a tiny piece of their money. Footballers get paid vast amounts of money, hundreds of thousands a week for some of them, to ponce and prance around on a bit of grass each week for half an hour when some people work hard and long hours, some into the early hours of the morning doing things that actually matter to their country, for example soldiers. Soldiers are the greatest people in the world, and i have the greatest of respect for these great people who fight for us and protect this great nation from what we would call terrorism.Footballers should never be paid for kicking a ball around for half an hour each week and prancing around like they are the god of everything, soldiers need to be paid footballers wages for the pure and simple reason that soldiers are the pride of this great nation. 24 year old Wayne Rooney now earns nearly £250000 per week! That amount of money could pay 10 british soldiers for a year.Footballers make the front page for all the wrong reasons. British soldiers only make the front page when they make the ultimate sacrifice.
