Stop the Deportation of Shaykh Raed Salah
Dear Home Secretary,
We,The Undersigned, strongly oppose the arrest of Shaykh Raed Salah on Tuesday 28th June, a prominent and highly renowned political leader, Palestine human rights campaigner and defender of Masjid Al-Aqsa.
He is now currently under threat of being deported. We believe that Shaykh Raed Salah was arrested with no substantial grounds and without any clear evidence, despite having travelled to Britain legitimately. We consider such behaviour is unacceptable from the British Governement.
Shaykh Raed Salah has never been charged of hate speech or anti-Semitism in Israel. As such, it is difficult to see how he could pose a threat. What you have done is an attack on his right to free speech. We urge you to do all in your power to ensure that this matter is given serious re-consideration and that Raed Salah is enabled the opportunity to appeal in court against this deportation threat.
Yours Sincerely,
The Undersigned
